and it means the way to sky or beginning of world.

think that fortune and misfortune come in our life via gate.
 That means gate is borderland between existence and death.

Korean race considered village's entry as gate. So they built
"Jangseung and Sosdae" with the object of keeping
off misfortune. Also gate is not only the ins and outs of world
but meeting in new world. That's why performance played Mungut
at first. They wanted to meet god of sky, then expected to be
their desire.

create harmony of peoples, new world, new way. And It is Maeulgut
ceremony before genuine Gut.

- People
prayed welfare, fecundity, good harvest, harmony of village
via Dangsangut.
- Dangsangut
have function of art and festival. It guide union culture. But
society changes, then combination and religiouse function
disappear little by little. Dangsangut's object is peace of
the world and realization of people's wishes.
- We
perform a ceremony at January or October. Because we thought
January is the start of the year and October is most innocent
in year. People prepare food what harvest from their own grounds
for ceremony. That is a world of their own. Then we recite a
written pryaer.

- We
perform Gut for healthful water. We want to be full of clean
water in world. When perform the Gut, say about "Flow,
Flow, Flows much water." or " We are well-being only
this well has plenty water."
